German stock exchange operator Deutsche Boerse AG has reported an 18 percent rise in second-quarter profit, hitting a new record for the first half of the year.
BAE Systems PLC , Europe's largest defense contractor, said Friday that first-half profit rose 14 percent, chiefly because of demand for armored vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan.
